George Nobechi & Ibarionex (Tokyo Workshop Conversation) - The Candid Frame Podcast

March 25, 2020

In December of 2019 Ibarionex Perello and George Nobechi collaborated on a ground-breaking new style of photographic workshop in Tokyo, Japan.

Tokyo: Explorations in the Metropolis was a smashing success as participating photographers not only learned to identify the strengths in their respective sensibilities, but over the course of eight days were able to apply that vision more consistently to their photography, breaking away from “gotcha” street photography and typical “travel” photographs and diving deeper into poetic, layered photographs that not only conveyed emotion, but worked well together as a cohesive set of images.

The day after the workshop was over, Ibarionex and George sat down to record a conversation for an episode of Ibarionex’ hit podcast The Candid Frame. In this episode the two passionate photographers discuss the aspects that made the workshop such a success and discuss their visions and philosophies for what makes for a life-changing workshop experience.

If you are interested in attending a tour or workshop with Nobechi Creative, but have some questions about the type of experience that we offer, this is a good place to start your research to see if what we provide might be a fit for you. If learning from Ibarionex is high on your priority list, he will return to Tokyo Dec 1-8 for Tokyo: Explorations in the Metropolis 2.0, with many all new locations, and an even more refined workshop experience.
