WORK BY OUR JAPAN WORKSHOPS’ ALUMNI
Our 2025 Summer Online Exhibition celebrates the creativity and vision of photographers who joined Nobechi Creative workshops in Japan during 2024 and 2025. This year’s curation, by internationally renowned photo-based artist Kate Breakey, presents 78 images that reflect the beauty, complexity, and diversity of the participants’ work. Each photograph carries a story shaped by place, light, and the deep cultural resonance of Japan.

Ibasho
Join our community
“Ibasho” is a Japanese word which means “place to be.” In 2021, we created a new forum where one can be - be creative, be welcomed, be oneself, and all of this comes free of judgment, free of advertising, free of anything except creative energy. Best of all, we are offering a place to anyone who wants to join us. “Ibasho” is now live. Currently, invitations are open to all and the cost is free.
