The Working Photographer
An online seminar series with Amber Terranova
OVERVIEW:
Join Amber Terranova, Director of Education, Americas, for Magnum Photos and Faculty Member of School of Visual Arts in this exclusive new seminar series.
Whether you are producing a personal project, commercial portfolio, documentary or fine art series, developing your own personal vision is critical in the photography job market. Knowing where you fit in and developing a strategy is essential.
In this three-day Saturday sessions seminar series we’ll take a deep dive into understanding how photographers create meaningful personal projects and use that work as an entry way into the editorial and fine art markets.
Then we'll begin building your client list based on the kind of publishing outlets you'd like to pursue. We’ll discuss how to prepare your work for portfolio reviews and pitch to editorial and fine art industry tastemakers.
Personal note from George Nobechi - “Amber was instrumental in helping me to approach editors and gallerists with the right balance of confidence and humility. I would recommend her class wholeheartedly and am excited to have someone of her calibre teaching with us.”
This seminar series helps you focus on the steps you need to take as a photographer to seek the right platforms for your work from the perspective of what editorial and fine art industry leaders are looking for; it works as a perfect complement to Allen Clark’s Building Your Dream Portfolio workshop, which explores how to get to the start line as a working photographer, from a photographer’s perspective.
