four global photographers converge online at Nobechi Creative
Here at Nobechi Creative, we have always sought to create meaningful events for you - our treasured community. We began with exhibitions and talks in communities around Japan, pivoted to creating Evenings with the Masters ® (EWTM), which filled a great void during the pandemic and raised tens of thousands of dollars for charity. In 2023, we helped to launch a photo festival in Japan. This time, we have invited four photographers we admire from around the world for a weekend summit of online presentations.
These four photographers are at various stages in their transcendent careers, but we respect their contributions to the world of photography, journeys of self-discovery, and potential for continued career growth. Through these talks, we will embark on a visual exploration aimed at uncovering not just the aesthetic allure of the world, but also the narratives that lie within. And as always, we will do this in support of good causes around the world that are near and dear to our presenters.
Join us for the weekend of August 26th and 27th
A BRIEF HISTORY OF EWTM: Nobechi Creative ZOOM TALKS FOR CHARITY
In March of 2020, Nobechi Creative launched Evenings with the Masters®, an initiative that brought the photographic community together under the difficult circumstances of the pandemic. George Nobechi, our director called on his colleagues and mentors among some of the world’s foremost masters of photography and asked them to join in a weekly online forum, showcasing their work, sharing their personal stories with photography and answering audience questions live. All proceeds from the programs were distributed to charities selected by each presenting photographer, and all initially were helping to provide relief related to issues caused by Covid-19.
Once more, we are happy to join forces with a new generation of photographers who are committed to making the world a better place, and we are bringing back the spirit of EWTM with each presenter selecting a charity to which 100% of net ticket proceeds* will be evenly distributed.
*After credit card handling fees/Zoom hosting fees are deducted (you can expect 95%+ direct contribution rates)
YOU CAN STILL VIEW VIDEOS OF THE EVENT
Although the live portion of CONFLUENCES has ended, you can still access the video recordings of the talks by way of a donation of $40 ($10 split to each of the four charities). These videos will be available indefinitely through our private YouTube channel.
Please note that you must have or create a Google account (a dummy account is fine) in order to view the recordings. If you are unsure how to do so, please follow this tutorial.
