evenings with the masters®
SEASON 2
Season Two is now on video!
Since we dreamt up the idea for the Zoom series Evenings with the Masters®: Inspiration from Photographers back in March of 2020, we have seen over 350 people from the photographic community become part of our family as we gathered each week around the “campfire” while raising tens of thousands of dollars for Covid-relief charities; we are proud to mention that the charity efforts are still on-going as we collect and direct the video funds to charity.
We are also aware that many photographic institutions are now following suit and hosting similar live Zoom talk series; it’s wonderful to see photographers receiving well-deserved exposure, and to see institutions adapting to these strange times and the interesting future that lies ahead. We see imitation as the sincerest form of flattery and believe in community-building, not competing with each other. The more vibrant the photographic community can be, the better. We want all our gathering places to thrive, and the door is always open here to all.
Now, we are happy to be starting up the fire anew as we emerge from the holidays to combat the Covid Winter Doldrums with the return of Evenings with the Masters® for Season Two with fifteen sessions (minimum!) of all new masters presenting their work. This time we are featuring a more international lineup, but still across a variety of genres, just as we did in Season One. We are hopeful that there will be something for everyone once again.
As with last time, we will be directing 100% of net proceeds to the charities selected by our presenters.

FAQ
Do I need to have a Zoom account?
-Yes, you will need to make a free Zoom account (you do not need a paid subscription) if you do not have one. When you register for our series, please provide us with the email address that you use for Zoom -otherwise you may have trouble using the one-click option to access the meetings (ie you may have to log in using the meeting ID and password combination instead).
When will I receive my Zoom links?
-For security purposes, the meeting links and passwords change each week. An invitation email will be sent to you a few days before each presentation from info@nobechicreative.com via ActiveCampaign. Please watch your spam/promotion folders carefully for these emails and add our email to your contact “white list” so that you will receive them to your inboxes. These emails will have a one-click link to the session.
I missed a session (or will be missing a few), will there be a recording?
-Yes, eventually there will be a private recording link made available to subscribers; however, that will only happen after the full live season is done, all the videos are edited for content, and they are approved for upload by the presenters, and released on a schedule, just as we did with Season One. These videos will not be made public. The emphasis for this series is still on the live experience, and we will not be making videos available immediately after the presentations.
I’d like to attend just one session, how do I do that?
-We are sorry, but we do not have the capacity to handle single-session sign-ups on an individual basis as we manage connections for a couple of hundred people each week. If you really are unable to attend the other sessions, and only want to attend the one, your only option is to sign up for the series and then you may watch the video recordings of the rest at the end of the season as noted above.
How does the charity component work?
-Approximately 96.5% of your gross payments go to charity (100% of net proceeds). When you pay by credit card, the card processing company charges about 3% for US cardholders and 4% for everyone else. Everything that comes in net of that goes into a pool and we make an initial split of the funds and donate to each charity chosen by the presenters. We then continue to raise money though your subscriptions and donate additional splits to those charities. We do not take any administration fees or production fees for this series.
Every week we also talk about the charities with the presenting photographers so we know what motivated them to support their foundation. If these causes resonate with you, you can always make additional, direct donations to those charities as well.
How does your staff get paid?
-For Season One, our Creative Director and Host, George Nobechi took care of our amazing duo, Fernanda and Danny, personally. That remains the plan for Season Two. However, we are adding an optional staff contribution button, separate from donations, that is a way in which you can help us to buy us some lattes for the season to keep on producing the series. (We’ll split this three ways). Thank you to those who suggested this idea.
I was part of Season One (Live/Video or both), am I automatically in Season Two?
-You have a spot reserved for you; all you have to do is sign up. If you don’t sign up for Season Two, you won’t receive the links for the Season Two sessions.
If I sign up for Season Two, do I get free video access to Season One?
-No, each season is separate. Please purchase an access pass for Season One, and you will have access to 18 episodes and two bonus sessions, with all net proceeds going to the Season One charities.
I see “TBC” on a number of dates. Can I recommend someone to you?
-Nearly all of the presenters for Season Two are already set. The TBC is there while we await responses from our presenters on which dates they’d like to present. As soon as we are locked in, we will update each page. However, recommendations are always welcome and we do keep a list of your suggestions. Please don’t be offended if we don’t call on one of your choices- there are so many talented masters around the world in this field.
I’d like to continue the discussion in between sessions with my colleagues. I hear there is a private Facebook group. Can I join?
-Yes, if you are a subscriber to either Season One or Two (or both), you may submit a request to join here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/eveningswiththemasters. Please allow some time for an administrator to approve you. If you are not a subscriber, we do apologize, but we keep the group only for those who are subscribed.
