Before the Evenings With the Masters come to a close, I wanted to let you know how deeply I've enjoyed the series. Not only were the speakers some of the very best photographers working today, but without exception they were remarkably generous and open about their work and their photographic journeys. It was clear that each one had organized a talk specifically for our group--not a single one was an off-the-shelf re-hash of a previous lecture. I came away with insights that I'll be exploring for the rest of my photographic days.

And you and your helpers are to be highly commended for your patience and guidance. I can't imagine how difficult it has been to herd 200+ participants. I really appreciate that you allowed the audience to be visible. Other Zoom photo lectures that I've attended have not done so, and it makes the experience so sterile.

So, a thousand thank you for offering this lifeline, especially during the difficult time we are all going through. I don't know quite what I'm going to do without that Wednesday evening touchstone.

I am not a photographer but rather an artist who has used photographs in my work in various ways. It was interesting to me to see how many of these photographers have been able to incorporate both commercial and fine art photography into their practice. This is a rarity in the art world that I know. I have known several commercial artists who, after retiring from working in the advertising industry, have turned their attention to painting. It is a difficult transition and they mainly do it for their own pleasure. There are also many conceptual artists who use photography or strictly "Fine Art" photographers who disdain moving out of that category to do anything commercial. Such a different mindset!
Once again, thank you for all of your hard work and for giving me the opportunity to have such an intimate experience with all of these wonderful photographers. - Judith

I found out about EWM through Michael Clark, it sounded interesting. I had no idea the impact it would make to me and how I see and photograph.

The Evenings With the Masters inspired me to see differently, be stretched, introduced to new ideas. I never imagined that we would be photographing with our iPhones as part of the series. I laughed, was awestruck and teared up once or twice. I came to look forward to our Wednesday nights listening to the masters share and teach. A wonderful time.

It was great to hear Michael’s teaching, he is so good at what he does.

I want to start thanking George for the idea and the hard work he put in creating this unique on-line inspiring environment where each of these talented photographers showed their long life work to the delight of all of us.

Their work was inspiring in many ways: their sensibility and empathy was deep and contagious, their artistry let me see the world through their own eyes and taught me, as a photographer a path on how to look at it in different ways. Each of them was very different on they approach photography, nevertheless, week after week I was in awe looking at their styles and poetry embedded in each image. I learned a lot, so much that is hard to express in words.

I will be always in gratitude for this amazing hours I spent thinking in the beauties and complexities of the world showed through photographs.

I have to admit I feel “withdrawal side effect” of not having these Wednesday evenings. It is hard to fill the time with something as good and important as these wonderful ride you and the masters offered those for all of us.

I am sure many have written you expressing their deep appreciation of all your efforts in giving us, the photographic community, the “gift” of this most wonderful series of lectures. I too want to express my profound gratitude. The series was a source of joy and inspiration, and so very welcome in this most difficult of times.

You created something very special George and it was clear that each of the lecturers understood this, and recognized EWTM as a new type of artistic venue and community in the making. Although the lecturers are all internationally recognized and accomplished photographers and artists, I perceived that each was genuinely honored to have been asked to participate. This speaks to the great respect they have for you and what you have accomplished.

I was impressed by the precision and great attention to detail that enabled the success of EWTM. I can only imaging the amount of work that must have been required to organize and implement this series… essentially flawlessly.

But, what has most greatly moved me George, is the altruism, the kindness and compassion made manifest in all of your efforts. A most beautiful example for all of us. So profound, I offer you my heartfelt gratitude George.
